Description:

Adobe is searching for a dedicated and innovative Computer Scientist I for the Adobe Lightroom Android team in Bangalore. This role is ideal for someone passionate about digital imaging, mobile app development, and architecting high-impact features for millions of users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, design, and implement features for the Lightroom Android app
• Take total ownership of assigned features, from gathering requirements and designing to implementation and writing unit/automation tests
• Optimize the application’s memory and processing footprint to improve user experience and eliminate crashes or ANRs
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other cross-functional partners to define roadmap and scope for new releases
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in the team
• Follow robust Agile, Lean, or Scrum product development methodologies for repeated success

Key Technical Skills:

Android, Java, Kotlin, C++, Python, Perl, Architectural Patterns, Agile, Unit Testing, App Optimization

Requirements:

• BTech or MTech in Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 4 years of hands-on software development experience
• Strong programming abilities in Java/Kotlin/C++ plus experience with at least one scripting language (Python/Perl)
• Demonstrated experience in Android app development and a solid understanding of architectural patterns
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
